Toddler rides giant pet tortoise with his father

A father takes his son for a ride on their pet tortoise. The man, named Somsak, was exercising his giant Sulcata tortoise, named Pee Yuk, in the family's garden Nakhon Nayok province, central Thailand on May 26.<br /><br />The two-year-old boy was able to sit on the giant shell and ride the placid animal.<br /><br />Somsak said: ''They're both safe and it's good exercise for Pee Yuk. I want to my son grow up close to animals with love and respect for them.''<br /><br />The Sulcata tortoise is a species of African spurred tortoise, which is the third-largest species of mainland tortoise in the world. It has become a popular pet because of its tame nature.​
