You're not gonna be home anyways. <br /><br />The hot water heater draws a ton of energy. So before you leave town, come down into the basement and take a look at it. Most of them have settings, mine has hot, warm and vacation. So before you go out of town, turn it to vacation. And when you get back home, turn it back up to warm and you can take a hot shower and relax.
