Body Painting Day - 2017, Washington Square Park - NYC

All the clips used in this video were filmed today in Washington Square Park in Downtown Manhattan. This has been my second experience of body painting day.

It was a combination of two arts - human body, art by mother nature, and colorful painting - art by human beings. The message of the organizers and the models seemed to be: whatever its shape, size, color, or age might be, we do love our own body - with or without the bondage of clothes. It was a celebration of that love. The effusive models with their raw bodies wearing nothing but colorful brushstrokes, the beelines of onlookers and photographers, the intoxicating summer weather of Washington Square Park - all made it 'a huge'.
