Heartwarming moment grandmother with dementia meets family dog again after long year apart

This was the sweet moment Carley Trout's grandmother met her family dog, Dexter, for the first time in over a year after being moved into a nursing home due to being diagnosed with dementia. <br /><br />"Grandma had a stroke and had since been diagnosed with dementia, and had to leave her family home. She has always loved animals and after being in the hospital for a long time, then moving to a nursing home all she wished for was to see Dexter again. We made this happen and this is her reaction," Carley told Newsflare.<br /><br />The clip was filmed in Surrey on November 16 2019.
